The partnership between Covalent and CasperLabs sets the stage for more performant enterprise solutions on-chain.
Today, we are excited to announce our partnership with Covalent to make on-chain data within the Casper Network usable to businesses and consumers. The partnership with Covalent will begin with intellectual property and patent assets on Casper, a use case pioneered by IPwe.
Covalent provides a unified API to bring full transparency and visibility to assets across all blockchain networks. Covalent’s APIs support diverse use-cases like wallets, exchanges, custodians, taxation amongst many others. They are the only no code, zero-config solution in the market, and have built a performant SDK to provide a toolkit address as-of-yet unsolved use-cases.
The CasperLabs and Covalent partnership will demonstrate the ability of blockchain to be integrated with other technologies to create cohesive enterprise data solutions. This integrated offering is already attracting strong interest, even before Casper’s pending mainnet launch: patent innovation company IPwe is currently building a patent registry solution on the Casper Network in collaboration with CasperLabs. Covalent will be a critical partner in this use case by building the infrastructure to bring IPwe’s Global Patent Registry (GPR) on chain.
As critical and sensitive patent data is managed and transacted on the Casper Network, Covalent will index the data on the blockchain and integrate it with other business intelligence tools like Tableau, Looker, and more. Covalent’s data API will enable people interacting with the GPR to ascertain patent valuation estimations, knowledge about patent activity by technology and company, and a general knowledge graph on patents. The objective of the Covalent and CasperLabs partnership is to ensure enterprise solutions built on the Casper Network can make informed business decisions without sacrificing data availability, security, or power.
Covalent leverages big-data technologies to create meaning from hundreds of billions of data points, delivering actionable insights to investors and allowing developers to allocate resources to higher-utility goals within their organization. Instead of pain-stakingly sourcing data from a small handful of chains, Covalent aggregates information from across dozens of sources including nodes, chains and data feeds. The Covalent API then sources end users with individualized data by wallet, including current and historical investment performance across all types of digital assets. Most importantly, Covalent returns this data in a rapid and consistent manner, incorporating all relevant data within one API interface.
